HELP US FURTHER OUR MISSION

Heart of Husty is a love letter to Hustisford—an illustrated tribute on the south wall of the Hustisford Laundromat that captures the pride, memory, and momentum of a small Wisconsin town.

Designed by Trina Kingston (Pieper)—a Hustisford‑born graphic designer now living in Hanover, Minnesota—the mural carries the touch of someone who grew up here and still feels like a Husty girl at heart.

The piece blends symbols from Hustisford’s past and present. The bold red Falcons crest honors generations of students and carries new meaning after the school’s closure, reminding the community of the spirit that still binds it. The River Walkway stretches forward in painted perspective, inviting anyone who’s walked it at sunrise or during festivals to pause and appreciate the beauty woven into daily life.

At the center, Heart of Husty rises in warm script beside a Wisconsin outline patterned with dairy‑cow markings—a nod to agricultural roots and the legacy of Radloff Cheese, tying the town to the broader heritage of the Dairy State.

A park scene highlights the new lighting and flagpoles installed by the Arts and Gateways committee in Lion’s Park, celebrating volunteers who continue to invest in shared spaces. A four‑season montage closes the piece, capturing crisp falls, snowy winters, bright springs, and sun‑soaked summers—the rhythms that shape Hustisford’s traditions and everyday joys.

Together, Heart of Husty becomes more than a mural. It’s a portrait of resilience, pride, and belonging—honoring the past, celebrating the present, and inspiring what comes next.

About the Mural

1. Falcons Mascot — A tribute to Hustisford’s former school system and the generations who rallied behind the red falcon.

2. Wisconsin Outline with Dairy Markings — Represents Wisconsin’s dairy heritage and honors the former Radloff Cheese Factory once located in Hustisford.

3. River Walkway Panel — Depicts the community’s scenic riverside path, a favorite spot for walks, gatherings, and quiet reflection.

4. Hustisford Pelican Sculpture — A signature landmark created and installed by the Args and Gateways committee, the pelican sculpture marks Hustisford’s gateway entrances and celebrates the town’s lake life identity. It’s a symbol of community pride, craftsmanship, and the welcoming spirit that defines Husty.

5. Four Seasons Montage — Celebrates the full cycle of Wisconsin’s seasons and the year-round beauty Hustisford enjoys.
